Who this workshop is for

Executives, supervisors, new managers and customer-facing professionals who want to handle workplace pressure and conversations more effectively.

What participants will practise

  • Identify emotional triggers, early signals and their effect on others.

  • Use a structured pause to select a constructive response.

  • Listen, clarify and demonstrate empathy without making assumptions.

  • Hold respectful conversations using specific observations and clear requests.

  • Create an action plan for applying the skills at work.

The learning journey

1 · Recognise your patterns

Map a workplace trigger, the story you tell yourself and the response it creates. Use self-awareness and social awareness to consider your impact.

2 · Regulate under pressure

Practise PAUSE: Pause, Acknowledge, Understand, Select and Execute. Separate facts from interpretations and choose a useful next action.

3 · Connect with empathy

Practise attentive listening, clarifying questions and acknowledging another perspective in realistic workplace situations.

4 · Turn insight into conversation

Rehearse a challenging discussion, receive feedback and develop a practical transfer plan.

How participants learn

Short demonstrations, individual reflection, Singapore workplace cases, paired practice, coached role-plays and peer feedback. Participants can work with fictional scenarios; personal disclosure is optional.

Bring the learning into your workplace

One-day, face-to-face programme. The examples and emphasis can be discussed around your team’s needs. Sustainable application also depends on clear roles, manageable workloads and supportive leadership.
